Double cleansing is a cleansing method that tidies in two steps the oily and water-based residues that one cleanser cannot remove. Oil-soluble components such as sunscreen, makeup, and excess sebum are first wrapped and broken down by an oil or balm cleanser, after which a water-based cleanser washes away water-soluble residue such as sweat and dust. It is known as a method that helps tidy residue at the pore openings.
How to manage
Roll an oil cleanser gently over dry hands and a dry face, then emulsify it well with lukewarm water and rinse. Following with a light finish using a mildly acidic foam or gel cleanser for around 30 seconds can reduce excessive friction. To avoid irritation, it is best to refrain from hot water and prolonged rubbing.
